Igor Stravinsky: Suite from “The Soldier’s Tale” for violin, clarinet and piano
Modest Mussorgsky: Songs and Dances of Death, song cycle
Franz Schubert: Octet in F major for strings and wind instruments D 803

Whether in gentle spring nights or bleak snow storms, Death always sings his song, at times proudly, at times conciliatory, always final. Mussorgsky’s song cycle is the Russian counterpart to Stravinsky’s playful suite. An apocalyptic prelude to Schubert’s grand chamber music work.

After the concert: meet with the artists in the Schmuckhof, Arkadenbau

Prices € 45 / 40
