Carl Orff: "Dancing fauns". Orchestral performance
Carl Orff: „Carmina Burana“ („Songs from Benediktbeuern“)

The introductory choir „O Fortuna“ counts among the most famous musical works ever. On the day of his 125th birthday, the Kissinger Sommer is honoring composer Carl Orff by performing his most well-known work „Carmina Burana“. These songs, based on texts from the Benediktbeuern monastery, let the Middle Ages come alive in all of its musical glory. The works revolve around a fickle goddess of luck as well parties full of drink, gluttony and lust. Video artist Michael Carsten provides the „magical pictures“ that Orff demands in the subtitles exclusively for this concert.

Bus transfer: Departure at 7:30 PM from Würzburg Central Station, return journey to Würzburg after the concert at 10:30 PM from the casino.
