Artist Talks

"For a coffee with ..." - Artists in conversation with Alexander Steinbeis, every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the White Hall in the Regentenbau during the 2022 Festival. Free admission

The bright, light-flooded White Hall in the Regentenbau provides the ideal backdrop for the special matinees that the Kissinger Sommer invites you to every Saturday morning. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., artistic director Alexander Steinbeis hosts prominent artists from 2022 festival roster. There is plenty to talk about - starting with the programmes they conceived and the works they interpreted. The stations of an artist's life are discussed and sometimes also the great art of not only coping with difficult situations, but also drawing new strength from them and developing new ideas.

Magdalena Kožená, Annette Dasch and Daniel Schmutzhard talked to the Festival Director, as did the conductors Adam Fischer and Petr Popelka. Anne-Sophie Bereuter, a musician who is breaking new ground with her ensemble, was also a guest. During the last quarter of an hour of each artist talk, the audience is cordially invited to participate in the discussion by asking questions.
