The »Symphonic Mob« offers everyone who plays an instrument or likes to sing the great opportunity to make music together with the professionals of a world-class orchestra – no matter whether they play in amateur orchestras and big bands in everyday life or make brass band music..
Sheet music for the respective instrumental and vocal parts can be easily downloaded from the Internet and printed out in advance – even in simplified form. If you like, you can start practising well in advance and prepare for the big event together with your friends.
›Mob‹ 2024
At 11 a.m. on 23 June 2024, Bavaria's largest spontaneous orchestra will meet in the Kurgarten for a public rehearsal. This time, the BBC Symphony Orchestra from London will form the professional core. They will be joined by many enthusiastic amateur musicians from Bad Kissingen and the surrounding area. Once again, the Herz-Jesu Bad Kissingen choir will be taking part.
For all those who play and sing along, it is a special experience to become part of a great musical whole with many others and to indulge in the intoxication of sound. For all those who then join the audience at 12.30 pm, the fascination of a concert in which around half of those present are participants will remain in their memories. Sakari Oramo, Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, will be the musical director of the Kissinger Mob in 2024.
With Edvard Grieg's »Morning Mood« from the »Peer Gynt« Suite No. 1, Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 1, Richard Wagner's »Pilgrims' Chorus« from »Tannhäuser« and Sergei Prokofiev's »Dance of the Knights« from the ballet »Romeo and Juliet«, the programme combines great and popular works – a pleasure to listen to and play in equal measure.
