Travelling to Bad Kissingen

We want you to experience your stay at the Kissinger Sommer as an indescribable moment. When you arrive in Bad Kissingen, you experience magic: all at once peace returns, your own inner clock begins to beat to its natural beat.

Means of transport

Thanks to its central location in the middle of Germany, Bad Kissingen can be reached quickly and easily by car, train and plane.

You can easily reach Bad Kissingen by car via the A7 (Würzburg-Kassel), A71 (Erfurt-Schweinfurt) or A70 (Bayreuth-Schweinfurt) motorways. From the motorway exits you only need about 10 minutes to Bad Kissingen.

From the ICE stations Würzburg and Fulda, you can take regional trains via Schweinfurt or Gemünden to Bad Kissingen.

By plane you can reach Bad Kissingen via the international airports Frankfurt/Main or Nuremberg after a 90 min drive. Bad Kissingen itself has a beautiful airfield in the Au (PPR). The town centre is only a ten-minute walk away.

The bus express line takes you from Fulda main station directly to Bad Kissingen. The bus runs several times a day from Monday to Friday and once a day on once a day on Saturday and Sunday. You can find the timetable of the express line at kob-bus.de/fahrplaene.

Prior to all concerts of the Kissinger Sommer on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, the Kissinger Sommer offers a comfortable bus shuttle service from Fulda and Würzburg to Bad Kissingen, which will bring you back directly after the concert. The service can be booked in advance and costs only € 10 return from both Fulda and Würzburg.

Parking facilities in
Bad Kissingen

Parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the city centre and the Regentenbau for €1 per day, for example in Kurhausstraße. The theatre multi-storey car park is also available. Furthermore, most of our hotels have their own parking facilities for their guests. Another 700 free car parking spaces are located 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the city centre at Heiligenfeld in Garitz and at the ice rink.

Bus-Shuttle-Service

We are offering a comfortable shuttle bus service from Fulda and Würzburg to Bad Kissingen for all evening events of the Kissinger Sommer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which will bring you back directly after the concert. The one-way journey takes approx. 50 minutes for both cities.

We offer a comfortable shuttle bus service from Bad Kissingen to the out-of-town venues of the Kissinger Sommer, which will bring you back directly after the concert.

Departure from Bad Kissingen Kurtheater 9:45 Uhr / return 15 minutes after the end of each concert.
The one-way journey takes approx. 30 minutes.
